After wearing ashes yesterday, I’m ready to embark on this yearly journey called Lent. It’s an opportunity to focus on making sacrifices and being more aware of His presence. Giving up something for Lent enables me to celebrae the abundance and blessings in my life.
Yet again this year, I’m giving up my greatest indulgence…SHOPPING. Many people ask…what about groceries, baby items, etc.? These are clearly necessities. I’m giving up all the EXCESSIVE shopping I do for myself like clothing, accessories, trinkets, to focus on truly VALUABLE things.
I’ll still blog about the ways I remix existing pieces in my wardrobe which will truly highlight how I could probably stop shopping for 5 years and never need anything.
Thanks for following my journey! While it’s fun to admire the new digs of the pros on Instagram at New York Fashion Week, its also a reminder of how much their photos distort reality.
