  By no means do I believe you are what you wear, but I’ve always enjoyed experimenting with different trends and styles. Fashion is meant to be fun.

  After spending quite a bit of my time following others and consuming inspiration, I thought I’d contribute. Unlike other blogs, I’m not a size 0 or a professional photographer… I’m a real person, having fun enjoying a hobby and portraying my real life. This shouldn’t look like a Vogue photo shoot…does your everyday experience? 
  
  What inspires your style?
  I love finding ideas for outfits all over the place. My approach is to mix bargains and splurges to pull off a polished, preppy look. Think J.Crew, Tory Burch, Nordstrom, Forever 21, Charlotte Rouse, and JcPenney’s. Hmmm…for some of you those places don’t belong in the same sentence.

  Why Polka Dots & Pleats?
  Well, the name happens to reflect two trends I’m loving right now and currently on the lookout for more of both.
